Thermotip minimizes the risk of your CoXa hydration belt freezing in cold weather. A thermostat regulates the temperature at the nozzle, ensuring it doesn’t freeze, even in extremely low temperatures. You can easily attach the nozzle directly to a Velcro fastener.
What’s included:
Avoid a frozen nozzle on your CoXa hose with Thermotip – a lightweight and clever solution powered by any power bank. You can adjust the temperature to 50–70°C and keep the nozzle from freezing down to -20°C.
Additionally, the material is compatible with Velcro fasteners, making it easy to place the hose exactly where you want it.
Run the cord inside or attach it on the outside using the included straps.
Really cold! We've tested it down to -20°C, and by all accounts, it would probably work just as well at -30°C. But at that point, we hope you're sitting in front of a fire, logging your sessions on Strava rather than braving the freezing weather.
No, to keep the price down, we only sell the accessory itself. Most people already have a power bank at home that will likely work perfectly with Thermotip.
If not, we recommend a power bank with a capacity of 5,000–10,000 mAh and a 2A output. It also works with 1A, but for the best effect, it’s good if it can discharge at 2A (the same as a typical iPad charger).
Yes! We hope you’ll be able to enjoy most of your sports drink, juice, or whatever else you’ve whipped up in your CoXa — but if you spill, it’s perfectly fine to clean it. We suggest using a little lukewarm water in the sink. The remote control and USB connector, however, should ideally not be submerged.
It depends on several factors, such as the outdoor temperature, your power bank, whether you have warm or cold liquid in your CoXa, and which setting you use.
Under normal conditions—around -10 to -15°C and using setting 1 (50°C)—you can expect at least 2 hours of runtime with a 5,000 mAh power bank.
It fits all CoXa products with a hose—both standard and race nozzles.
It heats the portion of the hose closest to the nozzle—the parts most exposed to the cold. However, the rest of the hose and the hydration bladder are not heated.
In most cases, this solution is sufficient unless it’s extremely cold and there’s a long interval between drinks. We do recommend sipping about every 10 minutes, as this usually prevents freezing and keeps the flow continuous in your CoXa.
You can quickly and easily attach the part that heats the nozzle and the end of the hose using the Velcro fastener.
Thanks to the flexibility of the heating coils, it fits just as well on the angled standard nozzle as on the straight race nozzle.
The remote control is positioned right in front of you for easy temperature adjustment of your Thermotip.
The three settings are 50, 60, and 70 degrees Celsius, and a thermostat regulates the temperature.
Typically, setting 1 is sufficient to keep the nozzle free from ice at temperatures as low as -20°C.
A classic, reliable USB-A connector compatible with all power banks. The easiest way is to connect a power bank and place it in your pocket or behind the hydration bladder in your CoXa.
